Job summary

NSW Health’s Westmead Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Service on a permanent basis. You’ll apply critical care expertise across complex cases and work within a supportive multidisciplinary team.

In this role you’ll monitor and respond to evolving patient needs, document care meticulously, and contribute to learning and evidence-based practice. AHPRA registration is required and prior ICU experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• Recent experience in Intensive Care or critical care nursing.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent organisation, time management and attention to detail.
• Experience with health information systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate high-quality, evidence-informed nursing care.
• Recognise and respond to changing patient needs while managing competing priorities.
• Collaborate with patients, families and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and care plans.
• Support education, mentoring and quality improvement within the service.
