Job summary

St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne ICU invites applications for a Postgraduate Intensive Care Nursing stream. The role offers 0.8 EFT on a fixed-term 12-month contract, with a rotating roster including 8-hour AM/PM shifts and 10-hour night shifts.

Successful candidates enrol in the Graduate Certificate of Intensive Care Nursing with Deakin University (Burwood) to complete academic requirements.

Qualifications

• Must hold current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse without conditions.
• Minimum 2 years nursing practice in an acute care setting in a tertiary hospital.
• Meet AHPRA English language skills standard and have basic computer skills.
• Be willing to undergo a National Police Record Check prior to commencement.
• Have professional indemnity insurance.
• Completion of SVHM PSP and/or TSP is favourable.
• Completion of SVHM's Online 12 Lead ECG Course and/or Heart Starter Study Day, plus up-to-date ALS certification if needed.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the Postgraduate Intensive Care Nursing stream within SVHM ICU.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage diverse patient presentations.
• Complete clinical requirements to participate in the program and enrol in Deakin University.
