Qualifications

• Has professional indemnity insurance.
• Completion of SVHM PSP and/or TSP is favourable.
• Completion of SVHM’s Online 12 Lead ECG Course and/or Heart Starter Study Day, plus up-to-date ALS certification if not completed SVHM PSP/TSP.

It accommodates elective and emergency surgical and medical patients.The ICU admits deteriorating patients from the ward environment, Operating Theatre, Emergency Department plus external admissions from other metropolitan and rural hospitals via Adult Retrieval Victoria (ARV).Postgraduate nursing students’ clinical requirements for the Graduate Certificate of Intensive Care Nursing (Deakin) are completed at SVHM ICU.
