Barwon Health in Geelong is offering a Discovery Intensive Care Nursing Program for 2027. The role supports newly registered nurses beginning in ICU, with a structured 6-month program and supernumerary orientation days.

You will work in a multidisciplinary ICU team, delivering consumer-centred, evidence-based care to critically ill adults and paediatric patients, while developing essential assessment and advanced nursing skills through tailored study days.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurses with a minimum of 12 months acute nursing experience at the commencement of program.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
• Committed to high-quality patient care.
• Team player and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality, consumer-centred and evidence-based nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Undertake clinical assessment and plan, deliver and evaluate care with the multidisciplinary team.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and other health professionals to support quality patient outcomes.
• Maintain professional standards, accurate patient documentation and compliance with relevant clinical, safety, regulatory and organisational requirements.
• Contribute to a positive team culture, continuous improvement and your own ongoing professional development.
