Job summary

South Eastern Sydney Local Health District is seeking a Data Manager for the ICU to collect, validate and analyse critical care data. You will contribute to submissions to ANZICS CORE and CCR databases and provide data for morbidity meetings, audits and quality improvement initiatives.

The role requires strong data analytics and Excel skills, with a background in medicine, nursing, or allied health preferred, and the ability to communicate complex information to clinicians and researchers.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in allied health or nursing, or equivalent work experience in medical research and data collection.
• Proven ability to collect, manage, validate, and analyse complex clinical data within a healthcare environment.
• Leadership skills to enhance staff performance and lead change.
• Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with clinicians, researchers and external stakeholders.
• Experience with ICU datasets (ANZICS CORE, ICU databases) and EMR data extraction.

Responsibilities

• Collect, validate and analyse critical care data for ICU reporting and audits.
• Submit data to ANZICS CORE and Critical Care Resources databases.
• Provide meaningful data for morbidity/mortality meetings, research and quality improvement.
• Communicate complex ICU information clearly to clinicians and researchers.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including ICU staff and data governance.
