We’re looking for an experienced and proactive ICT System Administrator to join genU’s ICT team within Corporate Services.

In this highly technical role, you'll play a key part in maintaining and enhancing genU’s technology environment, ensuring our systems remain secure, reliable and efficient. You'll provide Level 3 support, manage critical infrastructure, and implement technology solutions that support our people to deliver meaningful services to the community.

Working closely with the ICT Infrastructure Manager and the broader ICT team, you’ll contribute to infrastructure improvement projects, cloud technologies, security initiatives and automation opportunities that help drive operational excellence across the organisation.

This role is ideal for a skilled Systems Administrator who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is passionate about leveraging technology to support positive outcomes for people and communities.

At genU, we’re a profit-for-purpose organisation, reinvesting our success back into programs to create real social impact. From disability and aged care support to community-focused initiatives, we’re here to help people live their best lives.

To comply with the Right Fit for Risk (RFFR) Cyber Security Accreditation requirements, applicants for this role must be Australian citizens or permanent residents. Unfortunately, applications from candidates who do not meet this requirement cannot be considered.

What you’ll do
  • Provide Level 3 technical support and resolve complex infrastructure, systems and network issues
  • Administer and maintain Windows Server, desktop, mobile, cloud and virtualised environments
  • Manage user identities, access controls, security measures, backups and disaster recovery processes
  • Monitor system performance, maintain infrastructure documentation and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Develop and support scripting and automation solutions that improve efficiency and reliability
What you’ll bring
  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology and/or significant systems administration experience
  • Strong experience administering Windows and Linux environments, including networking technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP
  • Experience with cloud services, virtualisation platforms and infrastructure management
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and documentation skills, with a focus on service excellence
  • Experience with IT security, scripting, automation and an understanding of ITIL 4 principles

(You’ll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don’t worry, we’ll help guide you through this.)
