Job summary

Inverell Shire Council is seeking an experienced ICT Support Officer to deliver, administer and maintain secure, robust ICT systems and services in a supportive culture.

Working in the Information Services team, you will support Microsoft 365, networks, servers, cybersecurity controls, backups and disaster recovery, while liaising with staff and external providers. The role is a 35-hour week with generous leave and salary packaging options.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary or industry qualifications.
• NSW Class C Drivers Licence.
• Skills in identifying solutions, installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of ICT hardware/software.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 services, user/access management and security services.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, patching, vulnerability management and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain and support ICT infrastructure, networks, servers and Microsoft 365 environment.
• Provide first-level and escalated technical support for hardware, software and devices.
• Support cybersecurity systems, Essential Eight controls, training and incident response.
• Assist with websites, intranet, user accounts, access permissions and remote access.
• Maintain backups, disaster recovery and business continuity documentation.
• Support audiovisual, livestreaming, CCTV and virtual desktop environments.
• Liaise with staff and external contractors to deliver ICT services and projects.
• Develop and maintain ICT documentation and procedures; contribute to improvements.
