Digital Canberra is seeking ICT Facilities Officers to help deliver technology infrastructure improvements across the ACT Government.
This is a hands-on role supporting the planning, installation, replacement and validation of government ICT infrastructure. You will work across a variety of government sites undertaking equipment audits, validating asset information, inspecting communications rooms and supporting infrastructure refresh activities that help keep critical technology services reliable and fit for the future.
You will work with technical specialists, project teams, vendors and operational stakeholders to ensure infrastructure assets are accurately recorded, appropriately installed and ready to support ongoing government service delivery.
We are looking for people who enjoy practical problem solving, have strong attention to detail and can work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Experience in ICT infrastructure, technical field services, telecommunications, facilities technology, asset management or related environments will be highly regarded. This role offers an opportunity to build technical knowledge while contributing to large-scale infrastructure renewal activities across government.
The successful applicant must be an Australian citizen and be able to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) security clearance. This position is designated as a Position of Trust.
There are several permanent full-time positions available.
A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
