Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Application Support Specialist to analyze, modify, test and implement site-wide information systems in Alice Springs. The role supports Windows and Linux environments, maintains servers, and coordinates upgrades with vendors.

You will respond to user issues, document procedures, and ensure IT health and safety compliance on site. Amentum invites candidates with relevant qualifications and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Three years of relevant application support experience.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience with Windows Server and Linux environments.
• Familiarity with web tech and databases (HTML, PHP, JSP, MySQL, Oracle).

Responsibilities

• Provide first- and second-level end-user support for business apps.
• Maintain/configure virtual servers, Cisco CallManager, VoIP phones, and user accounts.
• Resolve hardware/software problems for printers, laptops, and desktops.
• Set up computers with software, patches, email, security, and network settings; support Windows & Linux.
• Support remote access issues via FTP, RDP, or VPN; document IT procedures.
• Coordinate with vendors; provide low-level internal app support (MS Access, PHP, JSP, SQL).
• Research pricing for IT purchases across multiple vendors.
• Promote health and safety compliance at site.
