West Gippsland Healthcare Group (WGHG) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated ICT Application & Database Team Leader to join our Information and Communication Technology (ICT) team.
This is an exciting opportunity to provide leadership, technical expertise and service governance across a complex portfolio of clinical and business applications, integrations and databases. Reporting to the ICT Manager, you will lead the strategic design, management, maintenance and continuous improvement of key systems that support patient care, business operations and organisational decision-making.
As part of WGHG’s evolving ICT structure, this role offers the opportunity to lead and support ICT staff, coordinate priorities and resources, work closely with vendors and stakeholders, and contribute to meaningful service improvements across the organisation.
The ICT Application & Database Team Leader is responsible for leading the governance, support, maintenance and continuous improvement of WGHG’s applications, integrations and databases. Working closely with internal stakeholders, Gippsland Health Alliance, vendors and ICT team members, you will help ensure systems are secure, reliable, well documented and aligned with organisational priorities.

The West Gippsland Healthcare Group is a customer focused health organisation providing acute medical and surgical, obstetric, emergency, residential care and community health services to 45,000 people in the rural, urban residential, agricultural and industrial areas located within the Baw Baw Shire and beyond. The administrative headquarters are located at West Gippsland Hospital in Warragul, approximately 100km east of Melbourne.
All appointments with the West Gippsland Healthcare Group are subject to the satisfactory return of professional reference checks, a National Police Record Clearance and a current Employee Working with Children Check. All employees must hold current entitlement to work within Australia. A six month probationary period applies to all new appointments.
