Job summary

Eastern Health in Melbourne's Box Hill area seeks an ICT Project Manager to lead the amalgamation of Alexandra District Health, scoping, planning and coordinating ICT activities to move ADH infrastructure into the Eastern Health environment.

You will report to the Associate Program Director - ICT Portfolio and Governance and ensure successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring and closure of all ICT deliverables.

Qualifications

• Formal tertiary qualifications in information technology, business and/or project management.
• Experience leading ICT transitions in healthcare settings.
• Experience with Enterprise Architecture.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
• Knowledge of cyber security and risk reduction.
• PM certification (Prince2, Agile or PMI).

Responsibilities

• Scope, plan and coordinate ICT project activities for the amalgamation.
• Lead initiation, design, execution, monitoring and closure of ICT deliverables.

About the role

Eastern Health is progressing a voluntary amalgamation with Alexandra District Health to strengthen integrated service delivery, improve access to care, and support sustainable healthcare outcomes across metropolitan and rural communities.

The ICT Project Manager for the amalgamation will serve as a pivotal role in scoping, planning and coordination of ICT project activities to transition ADH infrastructure and systems to the Eastern Health environment. The role will report to the Associate Program Director - ICT Portfolio and Governance, and has the overall responsibility for successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of all ICT deliverables in the project management plan.

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

• Formal tertiary qualifications in information technology, business and/or project management
• Experience in a leadership role and Enterprise ICT systems transitions in an I.T. or clinically related role, preferably in a healthcare environment
• Experience with Enterprise Architecture
• Experience in Health, Business, Education or related disciplines.
• High level of communication skills (written & verbal)
• An understanding of the impact of deploying technologies in relation to healthcare facilities
• An understanding of electronic medical records/clinical information and referral systems
• An innovative and problem-solving approach to challenges
• Strong project management experience with Prince 2, Agile or PMI project management certification
• Demonstrated project budget/financial management experience
• Knowledge of cyber security systems and how they integrate to reduce cyber security risk.
• Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
• A strong commitment to high quality care
• The ability to work as part of a diverse team

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice) . Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.

Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
