Job summary

Gippsland Health Alliance is seeking an experienced Application Support Team Leader to guide a high-performing team at Latrobe Regional Health in Gippsland. This full-time role focuses on reliable application administration, go-live support, and continuous improvement across member health services.

The successful candidate will lead recruitment, development and performance management, ensuring consistent service delivery and alignment with strategic directions of the ICT function.

Are you an experienced ICT leader ready to guide a high-performing Application Support Team in a leading regional health service? Latrobe Regional Health is looking for an Application Support Team Leader to join our growing team on a full time (1.0 EFT) ongoing basis.

We are seeking an experienced people leader to lead and develop our Application Support Team, ensuring the team delivers reliable, responsive application administration and support services across GHA member health services. This role is accountable for team performance, capability and culture, and for embedding consistent service standards and continuous improvement practices across the team's work — currently leading a team of 8.4 FTE.

Application Support Team Leader is to:
  • Lead, coach and develop members of the Application Support Team, building capability and a high-performing team culture.
  • Own team workload planning and prioritisation, and manage performance against agreed KPIs and service levels, acting as the first point of escalation for the team.
  • Represent the Application Support Team in stakeholder and governance forums across GHA member health services.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, performance management and professional development for the team.
  • Oversee the team's contribution to system testing, training and go-live support, and ensure implementation, change management and training materials are delivered to a consistent, quality standard.
  • Champion consistent, best-practice service delivery and continuous improvement, contributing to the strategic direction of the Application Support function.
About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

  • Completed education to Year 12 level (or equivalent) and a current driver's licence.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or supervising a team within an ICT support or service delivery environment.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a team, fostering growth, accountability and a positive team culture.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently across a complex, multi-agency organisation.
  • A working understanding of hospital and clinical processes and how information systems support and enable service delivery.
  • Experience leading the delivery and ongoing administration of clinical and corporate applications through a team, with sound knowledge of best-practice ICT service delivery and support models.
  • Desirable: ITIL Foundation certification, a leadership or management qualification (e.g. Certificate IV in Leadership and Management) or equivalent experience, and prior experience in a health environment.
