Job summary

Origin Energy Limited is seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to deliver surface facilities upgrades and project scopes at Reedy Creek Brownfields. The role involves hands-on construction, commissioning, and fault-finding across multiple fronts, with a 2/2 roster and options to live locally in Roma or FIFO from Brisbane.

You will support maintenance, projects and operations with technical expertise, maintain HSE standards, and read schematics/P&IDs while working within

Qualifications

• QLD Electrical Trade Licence and EEHA certifications.
• Cert III or Cert IV in Instrumentation and Control.
• Experience with wellsite surface facility upgrades, demo & install, troubleshooting and commissioning.
• Ability to read schematics, circuit diagrams and P&IDs, and to work within a Permit to Work system.
• Sound HSE knowledge and CMMS experience (SAP preferred).
• A collaborative, inclusive approach; communicate clearly, back your team and own your work.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe, high-quality facility upgrades and project scopes.
• Returning well sites back to service and delivering production uplift.
• Keeps I&E equipment across Reedy Creek safe, reliable and compliant, including EEHA.
• Supports maintenance, projects and operations teams with critical technical expertise.
• Drives continuous improvement in tools, methods and practices.
