Job summary

Origin Energy is seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Electrical Technician for Reedy Creek brownfields upgrades. You will deliver surface facility upgrades, perform construction, commissioning and fault-fighting across multiple fronts, and join a 2/2 roster with flexibility for local living or Brisbane FIFO.

Applicants should hold a QLD Electrical Trade Licence and EEHA, plus Cert III/IV in Instrumentation and Control; strong schematics/P&IDs reading; CMMS (SAP) experience; and an

Qualifications

• QLD Electrical Trade Licence and EEHA certifications required.
• Cert III or Cert IV in Instrumentation and Control.
• Experience with wellsite surface facility upgrades, demo & install, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
• Ability to read schematics, circuit diagrams and P&IDs, and work within a Permit to Work system.
• CMMS experience, SAP preferred.
• Collaborative, inclusive communicator; supports team and own work.
• Understanding of Origin’s MOC process desirable.

About the role:

Ready to make an impact at Reedy Creek Brownfields? We’re looking for an experienced, safety-focused Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to deliver our surface facilities upgrades and project scopes. You’ll be hands‑on with construction, commissioning, and fault‑fighting across multiple work fronts. You’ll work a 2/2 roster, live locally as a preference or FIFO from Brisbane.

What will you bring?

• QLD Electrical Trade Licence and current EEHA certifications.
• Cert III or Cert IV in Instrumentation and Control.
• Proven experience with wellsite surface facility upgrades, demo & Install, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
• Confidence reading schematics, circuit diagrams and P&IDs, and working within a Permit to Work system.
• Sound HSE knowledge and CMMS experience (SAP preferred).
• A collaborative, inclusive approach. You communicate clearly, back your team and own your work.
• Understanding of Origin’s Management Of Change (MOC) process desirable
