Job summary

Central Petroleum Limited is seeking an Operator Maintainer I&E to oversee safe operation and first-line maintenance of Palm Valley gas field equipment. You will provide on-site instrumentation and electrical services, monitor SCADA, and support production targets while adhering to safety standards.

The role emphasizes hands-on field work, shift coordination, and continuous improvement in reliability and efficiency, with FIFO arrangements in NT and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in oil and gas operations or similar environments.
• Trade qualifications in Electrical or Instrumentation disciplines required.
• Experience operating and maintaining plant and equipment safely in an operational setting.
• Understanding of start-ups, shutdowns, isolations and maintenance safety requirements.
• Experience monitoring alarms and abnormal conditions is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain production facilities and site equipment.
• Provide on-site instrumentation and electrical services for process control systems.
• Respond to alarms and operational issues; follow procedures and documentation.
• Support shift handovers and contribute to site performance improvements.
• Participate in emergency response training and safety activities.
