Origin Energy is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Technician to join our Talinga site, delivering safe, reliable plant performance. You’ll perform maintenance, troubleshoot rotating equipment, and contribute to reliability improvements.

We value experience with gas engines and high-pressure systems, and you’ll work with SAP to manage work orders while supporting a strong safety culture and team-based problem solving.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade required.
• Hands-on mechanical maintenance experience with rotating equipment.
• Strong safety-first approach and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience using SAP for work orders and materials.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair rotating equipment, especially compressors.
• Plan preventive maintenance and prepare permits and JSEAs.
• Troubleshoot plant issues to maximise availability.
• Mentor apprentices and support continuous improvement.
