Job summary

Winnellie Hydraulics is seeking a Hydraulic Technician to join our Darwin-based team. You will carry out troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance on a range of hydraulic equipment and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics for service work.

The role requires a minimum Cert III Mechanical Trade, manual Australian drivers licence, and strong communication and computing skills. You’ll work in our busy workshop, with opportunities for in-field deployment and mentoring under

Qualifications

• Experience with technical repair and maintenance on a broad range of hydraulic systems.
• Minimum Engineering Cert III Mechanical Trade Certificate.
• Current Australian Drivers licence (manual).
• Outstanding communication skills with colleagues and customers.
• Strong computing skills for report writing and troubleshooting.
• Safety-first mindset with risk assessments, SWMS and Work Permit processing.
• Can‑do problem solving approach.
• Willing to undergo a fitness medical and drug/alcohol testing for site deployment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on a range of hydraulic equipment.
• Understand and interpret operation manuals and schematics (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic) to perform maintenance and repairs.
• Perform duties in a busy workshop.
• Represent the company onsite and deliver expected outcomes.
• Maintain a strong client focus and manage relationships.
• Identify value-adding opportunities for end users where possible.

Your Tasks Will Include

This position will attract an hourly wage of between $50.00 to $75.00 + superannuation, commensurate with your qualifications, experience and accomplishments.
