Hydraulic & Pneumatic is seeking a Hydraulic Technician/Diesel Mechanic based at our Keysborough branch with strong mechanical aptitude. Training provided, with a mix of onsite and offsite work across multiple industries including mining, oil and gas, and transport.

Ideal candidates will have hydraulic experience (limited experience considered) and a valid MR Truck Licence (Manual). 5+ years post-trade experience and Australia-wide working rights are required.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and hydraulic experience preferred.
• MR Truck Licence – Manual Car Licence required.
• 5+ years post-trade experience.
• Full working rights in Australia.

Responsabilités

• Perform cylinder overhauls, pump and motor repairs and testing.
• Field service including planned maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on hydraulic and mechanical equipment.
• Maintain equipment, tools and work area with proper documentation and service records.
• Read and interpret hydraulic schematics.
• Assist with hose and tube manufacture.
• Prepare clear and concise service reports.

Hydraulic Technician/Diesel Mechanic - Limited Hydraulic experience considered

Our main operation centre is situated in the Latrobe Valley; 1½ hours east of Melbourne, with an additional Engineering and Service centre in Keysborough. We offer Mechanical and Fluid Power Solutions for our diverse market, providing sales, service, and maintenance on hydraulic and pneumatic systems since 1968. Our client base covers mining, oil and gas, power, pulp and paper, agriculture, and the transport sector. We are also Australia's leading distributor for Triple R Oil filtration and privately owned family business.

Summary

We are seeking someone with a strong mechanical aptitude and ideally hydraulic experience to be based in our Keysborough branch.

We are looking to provide both internal and external training with a view to having you working onsite and offsite working across a range industries. Competitive hourly rates are on offer, negotiable with experience. The Role

We are seeking someone with a high mechanical aptitude - LIMITED HYDRAULIC EXPERIENCE WILL BE CONSIDERED.

Our Traralgon and Morwell branches service these main industries – Pulp & Paper, Forestry, Quarry and Coal Mining, you will be required to:

Perform allocated workshop duties, including cylinder overhauls, pump and motor repairs and testing

Field service, including scheduled maintenance and servicing, diagnostics and repairs to hydraulic and mechanical equipment

Maintain equipment, tools and work area along with good documentation and service records

Regular drug and alcohol testing required to access critical infrastructure sites

Hose and tube manufacture

Diagnose, troubleshoot and Report on equipment following disassembly and inspection

About you

The successful candidate will ideally have experience in hydraulics maintenance and repairs, however other similar trade experience will be considered.

To be considered for this role you will possess:

Relevant trade qualifications (i.e Diesel, Mechanical, Hydraulic Fitter, Earth-moving or allied industry)

Valid MR Truck Licence (Manual Car Licence required)

5 + years post-trade experience

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

A desire to grow and develop a long-standing career within the Hydraulic & Pneumatic Pty Ltd.

Other attributes that are not necessary but will be highly regarded:

A strong background in Field Service experience with the ability to prepare clear and concise service reports

Experience in Fluid Power (Oil) and lubrication systems services

Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics
