Job summary

Job Q in Australia’s Victoria region seeks a Hydraulic Services Designer to coordinate and deliver hydraulic services design across a range of projects, including aged care, health, retail, residential and government sectors. You will work to top Australian standards and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure timely, accurate outcomes.

Responsibilities include design development, RFI responses, submittals, site visits, and change management.

Qualifications

Strong project management and technical ability across engineering disciplines.
Ability to communicate technically with clients, staff and management.
Good hydraulic engineering and assessment skills.
Focus on time and budget deliverables and motivate others.
Ability to work independently with minimal input and supervision.
Approachable personality with stakeholder communication.
Strong report writing and communication skills.
QBCC licence or RPEQ eligibility.

Responsibilities

Maintain understanding of Australian Standards (AS3500, AS2419, AS5601) and local requirements.
Develop hydraulic services design, scope of works and specifications to required standards.
Support construction with RFIs, submittals, site visits and design revisions.
Identify variations and report impact on schedule and budget to client/manager.
Coordinate requirements between disciplines and review documents/drawings.
Identify risks and manage project risk to maximise opportunities.
Occasionally use REVIT/CAD to deliver projects on time.
