Job summary

RCR Mining Technologies in Bunbury is seeking an experienced Hydraulics Sales and Application Engineer to join the Hydraulic Services team. The role combines technical expertise, application engineering, and sales to support customers across mining and heavy industry sectors.

You will develop client relationships, identify opportunities, and provide technical advice that meets customer requirements while growing our hydraulic services business.

Qualifications

• Strong sales, networking and relationship-building skills.
• Experience interpreting technical drawings, hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Experience preparing technical quotations and cost estimates.
• Strong understanding of hydraulic systems and fluid power applications.
• Ability to work independently while actively generating new business opportunities.
• Strong communication and customer engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and achieve sales and revenue targets within the hydraulics business.
• Provide technical sales support and application engineering expertise to customers.
• Interpret customer specifications, hydraulic schematics, and technical drawings.
• Prepare accurate quotations, costings, and proposals for hydraulic solutions and services.
• Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to clients.
• Develop and maintain long-term customer relationships through proactive engagement and account management.
• Identify and manage commercial and technical risks within the sales and application process.
• Negotiate tenders, contracts, and commercial terms to meet customer and business requirements.
• Ensure all enquiries and quotations are processed and followed up in a timely and professional manner.
• Work collaboratively with hydraulic technicians, supervisors, and internal stakeholders to deliver solutions.
