Job summary

WesTrac is seeking a Planner for the Tomago Hydraulics Branch in Newcastle region. This full-time, 18-month fixed-term role reports to the branch manager and focuses on proactive scheduling, resource planning, and stakeholder communication to support timely hydraulic component delivery.

Ideal candidates will have planning experience or hydraulics background, strong problem-solving skills, and advanced MS Office proficiency, working in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a planning role or hydraulics background is highly desirable.
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Suite.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate short-term schedules and slot plans, ensuring work is captured and aligned to delivery targets.
• Balance labour capacity with Workshop Supervisors to manage workload peaks and troughs.
• Monitor job progress and communicate changes, delays, and revised completion dates to stakeholders.
• Generate planning reports and analyse workload, demand, and performance data for decision-making.
