Job summary

The Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure (DTMI) seeks a collaborative Technology Service Delivery Team Leader to guide the day-to-day delivery of IT support services and lead the technical support team. You will strengthen relationships with service providers and stakeholders, driving improvements that enhance user experience across DTMI.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT service delivery within a large organisation.
• Strong leadership and the ability to develop a high-performing team.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Project management experience within an information technology environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement practices.
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to team outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and develop the Technology Service Delivery Team, including the Service Desk and Desktop Support function.
• Coordinate incident and problem management processes in line with the ITIL framework.
• Oversee technology service delivery platforms, portals, user access and software licences.
• Plan and deliver technology projects, managing resources, budgets and agreed outcomes.
• Build productive relationships with internal stakeholders and external service providers.
• Negotiate and manage service level agreements to support seamless service delivery.
• Provide high-level technical advice and develop clear policies, procedures and user documentation.
• Monitor service performance, identify improvement opportunities and support informed technology investment decisions.
• Contribute to cyber-security, risk management, business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
• Champion continuous improvement and positively support organisational change.
