Job summary

Flourish Australia is seeking a Team Coordinator - Peer Specialist to join the Commonwealth Psychosocial Support team on the Sunshine Coast. This is a closed-term, full-time role (76 hours per fortnight) with hybrid work arrangements.

You will supervise a team of Peer Workers and Mental Health Workers, mentor staff, and support frontline service delivery with recovery‑based and trauma‑informed practice. A Cert IV or higher, 3+ years in community mental health, and a current Australian driver’s

Qualifications

• Certificate IV or higher in a relevant field.
• At least 3 years experience in community mental health.
• Strong commitment to recovery-based practice.
• Understanding challenges faced by people with lived experience.
• Experience supervising staff.
• A personal lived experience of a mental health issue.
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence.

Responsibilities

• Support the manager to implement programs, policies and local procedures.
• Provide day-to-day supervision of lower or similar classified employees.
• Facilitate discussions regarding individual needs and goals and collaboratively develop, implement and monitor an individual plan.
• Encourage people to develop skills in daily living, social and employment contexts.
• Ensure individual support meets recovery goals and is strengths-based and person-led.
