Job summary

BT Group is seeking a Senior Network Engineer- IP to lead complex fault resolution across fixed network infrastructure and champion SRE practices. You will drive reliability through automation, observability, and end-to-end ownership while guiding improvements in change and incident management.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, including senior leadership, to deliver high-impact network solutions and scalable processes in a hybrid working model.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience with IP networking, switching and routing, and firewall technologies.
• Strong incident and change management skills with governance adherence.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and develop others.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for network engineering and SRE, leading complex fault resolution.
• Lead on high-impact incidents and post-incident reviews for root-cause analysis.
• Drive reliability improvements via automation, observability, and CI/CD.
• Manage live network changes with governance and automated tooling.
• Provide 24/7 operational support for network faults and platform issues.
