Job summary

splose is seeking a senior SRE/Infrastructure and Data leader to own the Reliability and Data lenses, commission Security from the Principal Security Engineer, and support the CTO on Architecture. You will be hands-on about 30% of the time and will line-manage the Principal Security Engineer and Senior Infrastructure Engineer.

• Hands-on expertise in cloud infrastructure and SRE with leadership experience.
• Experience leading senior specialists and directing consultants/vendors.
• Experience in scaling SaaS environments.
• Ability to work with security, reliability and data teams to unify delivery.
• Comfort in a player-coach, portfolio thinking role.

Responsibilities

• Author a charter, maturity model and learning pathway for the SRE/Infrastructure and Data lenses.
• Commission Security from the Principal Security Engineer and support the CTO on Architecture.
• Build paved roads, each tied to a named team and adoption target.
• Run a prioritized portfolio across all four lenses and coordinate the delivery calendar.
• Hire, coach and grow direct reports, and direct vendor relationships.
• Stay hands-on ~30%: Terraform and infrastructure work, ADRs, and S1/S2 rotation.
• Own coding standards, specs conventions, and a consolidated incident response plan.
• Manage policy governance with owner assignments and register skeleton.
