Job summary

BG&E, part of the SYSTRA Group, is seeking an Intermediate Rail Engineer with CSR on-site experience to join our Rail and Transit team in Melbourne. You will work across design, delivery, and site integration for major rail projects, serving as a bridge between engineering teams, contractors and stakeholders.

You will handle track geometry, civil interfaces and on-site CSR duties, collaborating with contractors and authorities to ensure design intent and safe execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• 3–6 years of rail infrastructure experience.
• Experience as Civil/Site Representative or on-site technical support during rail construction.

Responsibilities

• Support detailed track alignment and civil interface designs.
• Undertake CSR duties including site inspections and on-site issue resolution.
• Liaise with contractors, authorities and client teams for project execution.
• Prepare technical reports and design documentation.
• Participate in safety-in-design reviews and risk workshops.
