Job summary

SMEC is seeking Combined Services Route (CSR) Engineers to join our rail team across Australia. The successful candidate will lead CSR delivery on multidisciplinary rail projects throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane, you will collaborate with design disciplines, project managers and clients, ensuring compliance with AMB and Australian Standards, and delivering high-quality designs on time.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of rail utility engineering and design according to AMB, Australian Standards and guidelines.
• Experience in 3D BIM modelling of CSR routes using industry software (12D, Civil 3D, Navisworks).
• Strong communication to lead CSR packages and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of Safety in Design and familiarity with construction, maintenance, and operational requirements.
• Experience delivering major CSR design on rail infrastructure projects.

The Role

We are currently seeking Combined Services Route (CSR) Engineers to join our vibrant rail team in Sydney, Brisbane, or Melbourne. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading Combined Services Route (CSR) delivery across multidisciplinary rail projects throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Some Of The Core Responsibilities Include

• Ensure that design development meets relevant technical standards and the requirements of the client and SMEC
• Proactively collaborate with other disciplines, project manager, client and stakeholders to produce a coordinated high-quality design that meets the required standard.
• Apply project management principles in carrying out assigned tasks and accomplishing project deliverables in a timely manner.

Suitable Applicants Will Have

• In-depth knowledge of rail utility engineering and design according to AMB, Australian Standards and guidelines.
• Experience in 3D BIM modelling of CSR routes utilising 3D software used in the industry (e.g. 12D, Civil 3D and Navisworks etc.)
