Qualifications

• Relevant experience as an insurance broker in a public sector and/or corporate servicing role is desirable.
• Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance Broking) or relevant tertiary qualifications.
• Strong knowledge and application of insurance broking principles, insurance products and services.
• Sound knowledge of sales and marketing principles and their application with the insurance market.
• Developed negotiation skills.
• Good report writing and business letter writing skills.
• Risk management knowledge / experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts with a proactive approach to all aspects of service delivery to clients, ensuring needs are identified and met in line with agreed service standards.
• Develop growth in existing portfolio with new products or broader policy and identify new business opportunities.
• Claims advocacy and oversight of equitable claim settlements on behalf of clients.
• Provide leadership and development for less experienced brokers working with you and assist other team members where required.
• Develop and maintain effective long-term relationships with key client decision makers, underwriters and other professional services organisations.
• Travel to meet clients, predominantly across South Australia.
