Port Macquarie Hastings Council is seeking a Property Officer to manage its diverse property portfolio. The role includes coordinating land management actions, negotiating occupancy agreements, and overseeing tenant relations to ensure compliance and optimal community benefit.

Qualifications

• Experience in property leasing, conveyancing, property or land acquisition, licensing, paralegal work, or a similar field will be highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent record-keeping practices are essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and Administer Land Management Actions: Utilise various software systems to coordinate and administer the activities related to the management of the property and agreement portfolios.
• Negotiate and Prepare Agreements: Negotiate and prepare occupancy agreements including leases and licences in line with legal requirements and Council objectives.
• Oversee Tenant and Occupant Relations: Manage occupant agreements and maintain positive relationships while resolving issues.
• Administer Property Portfolio: Handle day-to-day administration of property agreements, rents, CPI, and bonds, coordinating with staff for inquiries and compliance.
