Job summary

Best & Less is seeking a proactive Payroll Officer to join our collaborative payroll team. You will deliver accurate and timely payroll for our Australia-wide workforce, provide payroll advice to team members and leaders, and ensure compliance with awards and enterprise agreements.

You'll manage end-to-end payroll weekly and fortnights, work with Time & Attendance systems, and support system transitions. A strong eye for detail and customer service mindset will help you thrive in our hybrid work

Qualifications

• Proven payroll experience within a large and complex organisation.
• Experience using Dayforce Payroll and Dayforce Workforce Management (highly desirable).
• Experience supporting payroll system implementations or transitions.
• Strong knowledge of Awards, Enterprise Agreements and payroll compliance requirements.
• Experience working with Time & Attendance systems.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capability.
• Retail payroll experience will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end payroll accurately and on time across weekly and fortnightly pay cycles.
• Provide payroll advice and support to team members and leaders across the business.
• Review and manage Time & Attendance exceptions to ensure payroll accuracy.
• Perform payroll reconciliations and assist with month-end and year-end processes.
• Ensure payroll activities comply with relevant legislation, awards and enterprise agreements.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships through excellent service and teamwork.
• Contribute to a positive, safety-first culture.
