Job summary

Reserve Bank of Australia in Baulkham Hills NSW is seeking a Payments Infrastructure Specialist to join our Technology team on a fixed-term contract through to December 2027. The role focuses on delivering and supporting Australia's critical payments infrastructure and ensuring secure movement of funds across the financial system.

You will contribute to the ongoing enhancement, integration and operational support of key payments infrastructure, collaborating with stakeholders across technology

Qualifications

• Experience supporting payment systems or financial market infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of messaging, connectivity and systems integration.
• Experience with high-availability, business-critical applications.
• Knowledge of Linux environments (RHEL) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery, integration and operation of critical payments infrastructure platforms.
• Maintain and optimise payments and messaging environments.
• Work with stakeholders to deliver strategic technology initiatives.
• Provide technical support for high-availability payment services.
• Investigate and resolve system connectivity and integration issues.
• Identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to infrastructure projects across Linux, virtualization, networking and integration technologies.
