Job summary

The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) is seeking a Payments Infrastructure Specialist to join our Technology team on a fixed-term contract through to December 2027. Based in Bella Vista with a hybrid work environment, you will support Australia's critical payments infrastructure and help ensure secure movement of funds across the financial system.

You will collaborate with technology and business stakeholders to deliver resilient, high-performing services, maintain and enhance payments

Qualifications

Experience supporting payment systems or payments infrastructure.
Strong understanding of messaging, connectivity and systems integration.
Experience with high-availability, business-critical applications.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technology environments.
Experience administering Linux-based environments (RHEL preferred).

Responsibilities

Support delivery, integration and operation of critical payments infrastructure platforms.
Maintain, enhance and optimise payments and messaging environments.
Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders on strategic tech initiatives.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for high-availability payment services.
Investigate and resolve system, connectivity and integration issues.
Identify opportunities for platform improvements and operational efficiencies.
Contribute to projects spanning Linux, virtualization, networking and enterprise integration.
