Job summary

Opus Recruitment Solutions is seeking a mid-level Network/Infrastructure Engineer for an initial 6‑month fixed-term period in Australia. The role is to join an existing team and help with network operations, with a 2 days per week office presence in Coolangatta and 3 days from home.

You will configure, maintain and deploy network devices including Fortigate firewalls, perform Windows Server administration and patching, and take ownership of escalated service desk issues while collaborating to

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in Network & Infrastructure Engineering.
• Excellent troubleshooting and operational support experience.
• Hands-on experience deploying and upgrading network devices.
• Strong core routing & switching experience.
• Network security experience with Fortigate firewalls (or similar).
• Demonstrated experience managing and patching Windows Servers.

Responsibilities

• Provide BAU operations to the company's vast network.
• Configure, maintain & deploy network devices such as Fortigate firewalls.
• Perform Windows Server administration, hardening & patching.
• Take ownership of escalated support from the service desk.
• Collaborate with other Network & Infrastructure Engineers to ensure high availability of the IT networks.
