Job summary

AccountAbility, partnering with a leading national organisation, is recruiting a National Payroll Manager in Parramatta. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing a national payroll operation and driving governance and continuous improvement across a complex payroll environment.

You will manage a team of 7 payroll professionals, ensure compliance with Australian legislation, and partner with HR, Finance and IT to optimise service delivery.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of payroll experience in a large, complex organisation.
• Strong hands-on SAP Payroll experience is essential.
• Proven experience leading, coaching and developing payroll teams.
• Solid knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards and multi-entity environments.
• Experience with payroll governance, reconciliations and statutory obligations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a payroll team of 7 professionals.
• Oversee end-to-end payroll delivery for a national, multi-site workforce.
• Ensure compliance with Australian payroll legislation, taxation, superannuation and Awards.
• Act as SAP Payroll subject matter expert and support system improvements.
• Manage reconciliations, statutory reporting, payroll tax and month-end tasks.
• Drive governance, standardisation and continuous improvement across payroll processes.
• Support payroll integration activities following acquisitions.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance and IT to enhance service delivery.
