Job summary

Xplor Technologies in Melbourne is seeking an Application Support & Testing Specialist to diagnose, test and resolve software and application issues. You will work with ICT support professionals to investigate defects, reproduce issues in test environments and validate fixes before closure.

The role emphasizes SLAs, data analysis, and collaborating with product and engineering teams. The position is hybrid with 2–3 days in-office in Melbourne, offering a full-time workload and a salary of 85,000

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or closely related field.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Excel and data management, with ability to investigate data discrepancies and support technical issue resolution.
• Ability to maintain accuracy, resilience and sound judgement when investigating and resolving urgent or complex technical support matters.
• Proactive and self-motivated learner with the ability to quickly understand new software applications, support tools and technical processes.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, diagnose, test and resolve escalated application support cases within agreed SLAs, including analysing customer issues and reproducing defects.
• Analyse application errors, data issues and system behaviour using SQL, logs and support tools.
• Use SQL, logs and documentation to diagnose software faults, data issues and performance concerns.
• Reproduce reported issues in test or support environments and document findings for escalation.
• Prepare and execute support testing activities, including test cases and regression checks.
• Perform testing of fixes, configuration changes and system updates to confirm resolution.
• Document root causes, workarounds and resolutions for recurring issues.
• Develop and maintain support procedures and knowledge base articles.
• Liaise with product, development, implementation and customer success teams to resolve complex issues.
• Analyse ticket trends to identify opportunities to reduce resolution times and improve SLAs.
• Maintain high standards of technical support and customer satisfaction, meeting KPIs.
