Job summary

Children's Medical Research Institute (CMRI) is seeking an experienced Individual Giving Manager to own our Individual Giving program and drive supporter engagement, retention and fundraising growth.

Reporting to the Head of Individual Giving, you will lead multi-channel campaigns, manage donor communications, develop appeals, and collaborate with families, researchers and suppliers to tell authentic stories that advance CMRI's mission.

Qualifications

• Experience in Individual Giving, direct marketing, fundraising, donor development or customer lifecycle marketing.
• Experience managing multi-channel campaigns including direct mail, email and digital communications.
• Exceptional copywriting and storytelling skills.
• Strong project management and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience working with data, segmentation and reporting to drive campaign performance.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing donor communications across direct mail, email, SMS and digital channels, ensuring every campaign delivers an exceptional supporter experience while achieving fundraising targets.
• Developing and delivering fundraising appeals, including major annual tax appeals and Christmas campaigns.
• Managing donor communications, including monthly EDMs, supporter newsletters and CMRI's annual Year in Review publication.
• Driving donor acquisition, retention and stewardship initiatives.
• Developing campaign briefs for designers, printers, marketing partners and other suppliers.
• Managing campaign budgets and monitoring income performance against targets.
• Coordinating campaign timelines and stakeholder approvals to ensure successful delivery.
• Building authentic supporter stories through collaboration with families, researchers and other stakeholders.
