Job summary

Professional Search Group in Perth, WA is seeking a hands-on HR Manager to partner with management, payroll and the wider team. You will own a broad range of HR responsibilities, drive policies, and support a payroll system update across multiple WA locations.

The role emphasises practical problem solving, strong stakeholder management and the ability to travel between sites as required. Office-based with flexibility to work from home a couple of days per week.

Qualifications

• Experience in a generalist HR, People & Culture or similar role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Hands-on and practical approach.
• Ability to build relationships across a diverse workforce.
• Excellent organisation and project management skills.
• Confidence working independently and taking initiative.
• Strong IT skills and an ability to learn and implement new systems.
• Experience with onboarding and policy development.
• An understanding of employment awards, ideally including the Retail Award.
• The flexibility to travel between locations when required.
• A genuine interest in people and creating positive employee experiences.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the business through a payroll system update and helping drive the project through to completion.
• Developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
• Managing onboarding and employee processes.
• Keeping HR projects and initiatives on track.
• Providing practical, hands-on HR support to managers and employees.
• Supporting employee relations and maintaining strong workplace relationships.
• Ensuring HR processes remain consistent across multiple locations.
• Assisting with award interpretation and compliance, particularly the Retail Award.
• Helping improve and maintain HR systems and processes as the business continues to grow.
• Travelling between locations when required.
