Job summary

Marsh is seeking a talented finance professional to join our Australia-based team. This hybrid role supports monthly and quarterly close, reconciliations, reporting and general ledger maintenance across finance operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounting, financial reporting or a similar finance role.
• Capability in preparing reconciliations, journal entries and financial statements.
• Good understanding of general ledger processes and month-end close activities.
• Ability to work with financial data accurately and meet deadlines in a controlled environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review and approve journal entries, reconciliations and consolidated statements.
• Maintain and analyse general ledger accounts and support month-end and quarter-end close activities.
• Prepare financial statements, disclosures and supporting reconciliations.
• Review revenue and expense reports, accruals and key account trends, and provide analysis to management as needed.
• Research accounting and reporting issues and prepare supporting papers or position papers where required.
• Review internal processes and procedures, recommend improvements, and support process changes and projects.
• Provide guidance to less experienced accountants and prepare ad hoc analyses as assigned.
