Nearmap is seeking an experienced Group Reporting Accountant/Manager to own key parts of financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and audit readiness. You’ll drive month-end close, consolidation, and statutory statements while partnering with global teams and external advisors.

The role suits a CA/CPA with 4+ years’ experience in accounting or finance, strong IFRS/AASB knowledge, and advanced Excel. Hybrid Sydney-based role with close collaboration across finance groups.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualified or equivalent.
• 4+ years experience in accounting/finance with financial reporting exposure.
• Exposure to multi-currency consolidations and tax experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of AASB and IFRS; Big 4 or tier 2 consulting background is favorable.
• Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with ERP systems like NetSuite or Salesforce.

Responsabilités

• Own month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and posting journals for assigned accounts.
• Manage Group consolidation process ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Lead preparation of monthly/annual statutory financial statements and liaise with external advisors.
• Prepare monthly variance analyses for management review.
• Lead external audits as central point of contact and respond to queries.
• Manage direct tax and transfer pricing matters with external advisors.
• Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions within consolidation.
• Liaise with ATO and state revenue offices as required.
• Monitor new accounting standards and advise on impact.
• Identify and drive process improvements for close and reporting.
• Contribute to ad hoc finance projects across teams.
