Job summary

UNSW is hiring to lead and evolve its enterprise data architecture, reporting to the Chief Data Officer. This 12-month fixed-term, full-time role guides governance and adoption across university domains, aligning with the Enterprise Data Strategy and leveraging industry frameworks and vendor partnerships.

The role requires building a high-performing team, managing budgets, and driving data-driven transformation across the Enterprise Data Office and UNSW IT.

• Proven leadership in complex environments.
• Experience building information architecture capabilities.
• Experience driving data/tech transformations delivering business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain UNSW’s enterprise data architecture aligned with strategic priorities.
• Lead the Enterprise Data Architecture function and roadmap with governance.
• Drive university-wide adoption of enterprise data architecture through policies and frameworks.
• Embed practices across UNSW IT and university domains to align planning, design and delivery.
• Oversee data architecture planning and investment advice to deliver high-value data capabilities.
• Promote innovation by leveraging industry developments and vendor relationships.
• Champion data governance, privacy and security across the office and IT.
• Build and mentor a high-performing team and contribute to leadership.
