Job summary

UNSW is seeking an experienced leader to develop and maintain the university's enterprise data architecture, aligning with strategic priorities and governance standards. Reporting to the Chief Data Officer, you will direct architecture capability, drive adoption, and collaborate with IT, data custodians, and business units to deliver high-value data capabilities.

You will mentor a high-performing team, embed architecture practices across the organisation, and ensure alignment with the Enterprise

• Extensive leadership in complex data environments.
• Experience across business, application, technology, and integration architecture layers.
• Proven track record delivering data/tech transformations with strategic outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain UNSW’s enterprise data architecture in line with priorities.
• Lead the Enterprise Data Architecture function and roadmap with governance and artifacts.
• Drive university-wide adoption through policies, standards, and frameworks.
• Embed architecture practices across UNSW IT and university domains.
• Oversee data architecture planning and investment guidance.
• Promote data innovation through industry developments and vendor relations.
• Champion data management, governance, privacy and security across the Enterprise Data Office.
• Build and mentor a high-performing team.
