AGL Energy Limited is seeking a Cyber Engineer to join the Cyber Transformation program and strengthen security across Enterprise IT, Cloud Platforms and the Secure Energy Data Centre. You will collaborate with Cyber Security, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure and Operations teams to implement and optimise security technologies and threat detection capabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in cyber security engineering, security operations or a related technical security discipline.
• Strong understanding of networking, operating systems and core cyber security principles.
• Hands-on experience with security technologies such as SIEM, EDR, firewalls, vulnerability management tools and cloud-native security platforms.
• Knowledge of cloud security practices across Azure and/or AWS environments.
• Experience supporting incident investigation, response and remediation activities.
• Understanding of cyber security frameworks and standards including ISO 27001, NIST CSF, ASD Essential Eight or similar.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.

Responsabilités

• Engineer, configure and maintain security technologies across enterprise, cloud and SE DC environments.
• Enhance SIEM, EDR and monitoring platforms to improve detection of emerging cyber threats.
• Operationalise threat intelligence by developing detection rules, dashboards and automated response capabilities.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, analyse findings and drive remediation activities.
• Implement and maintain secure cloud configurations across Azure and AWS environments.
• Support secure architecture, monitoring, access controls and data protection initiatives within the SE DC.
• Contribute to incident response activities, investigations and security hardening initiatives across critical technology environments.
