Job summary

BlueScope Steel Limited in Melbourne region is seeking a Credit Controller to join our Commercial Services and Transformation team at Mount Waverley, VIC. This fixed-term 18-month contract offers hybrid working with one day from home each week.

You will manage a high-volume cash collection portfolio, drive risk reduction, and collaborate with sales and finance to deliver accurate reporting and timely responses to customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in credit control or accounts receivable in a high-volume environment.
• Strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail.
• Professional communication across phone, email, and digital platforms.
• Ability to manage deadlines and adapt to priorities.
• Collaborative mindset to work with internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of debtor accounts focusing on risk reduction and cash collection.
• Develop and maintain monthly and yearly account trend reporting.
• Collaborate with sales and finance to provide timely responses.
• Investigate and resolve customer claims efficiently.
• Analyse account performance to identify delinquency and trends.
• Influence customers to comply with trading terms through negotiation.
• Support continuous improvement and operational excellence.
