Job summary

Mahlab is recruiting for a Corporate Lawyer & Assistant Company Secretary on behalf of a well-known consumer goods company in Melbourne, for a 12-month contract. The role combines commercial contracts work with company secretarial duties, with substantial client contact and support from a busy in-house legal team.

The ideal candidate has at least 4 years' experience in contractual advice and drafting, plus some company secretarial experience. A hybrid arrangement is available (2 days from home).

Qualifications

• At least 4 years' experience in contractual advice and drafting.
• Some company secretarial experience.
• In-house, corporate or law firm commercial background.
• Able to interact with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial contracts advice and drafting for the business.
• Assist with company secretarial tasks for the organisation.
• Support procurement contracts across supply, transport and technology.
• Collaborate with the in-house legal team and clients.
