Job summary

Mahlab in Australia is seeking a commercial lawyer with 4-6 years post-qualification to join its in-house legal team. You will handle a broad mix of matters including contracts, data privacy, employment, IP, regulatory compliance, risk, governance and M&A, with some Company Secretarial duties.

You will advise domestically and internationally, providing commercially focused guidance for an international client base in a fast-growing, hybrid-working environment.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years’ post admission experience.
• Experience from a well-regarded law firm is desirable.
• In-house experience viewed favorably but not essential.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills for business-facing work.
• Exposure to data privacy frameworks and technology sector experience is valued.

Responsibilities

• Handle a diverse range of matters spanning commercial contracts, data privacy, employment, IP, regulatory compliance, risk, governance and M&A.
