Job summary

Mahlab is seeking a corporate and commercial lawyer for a dynamic ASX listed Australian company in Melbourne. You will partner with key stakeholders, providing practical, commercially focused legal advice across a broad range of matters.

The ideal candidate has at least 4 years’ post-qualification experience in corporate and commercial law, with strong drafting and negotiation skills and the ability to provide strategic guidance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years PQE in corporate and commercial law.
• Experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and advisory abilities.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements.
• Advise on corporate/commercial matters, competition and consumer law and IP.
• Oversee corporate governance and company secretarial matters.

Our client, a dynamic, fast growing ASX listed Australian company, is seeking to recruit an additional member for its high performing Legal team.

In this role, you will partner with key stakeholders across the business whilst providing practical, commercially focused legal advice. Your key responsibilities include: drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements; advising on a range of legal issues including corporate/commercial, competition and consumer law and IP; corporate governance and company secretarial matters; and supporting corporate transactions and strategic projects.

The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years’ post qualification experience in corporate and commercial law, preferably with some time spent in a reputable firm. You will bring strong contract drafting and negotiation skills, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to provide strategic and commercially focused advice.
