Job summary

eHealth NSW invites an Engineer – Hybrid Compute to lead the design, deployment and ongoing operations of hybrid IT infrastructure across NSW Health. The role collaborates with senior engineers, cloud architects and IT operations to ensure performance, security and efficiency across platforms.

You will gain exposure to on‑prem and public cloud integration, automation, and DevOps practices within a forward‑thinking health technology environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in hybrid IT infrastructure design and operations.
• Strong Windows Server admin and Linux/Unix experience.
• Hands-on virtualization, cloud integration, and automation skills.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and container tech.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and maintaining hybrid on‑premises and cloud infrastructure.
• Manage Windows/Linux servers, virtualization, storage, and networking.
• Drive automation with Terraform/Ansible and scripting.
• Provide Tier 2/3 on‑call support and documentation.
