Job summary

Orygen in Melbourne is seeking a Communications and Engagement Adviser to grow the #chatsafe reach through engaging content and digital campaigns. You will work with the Suicide Prevention Research Unit to bring resources to youth locally and globally.

Reporting to the Media and Communications Manager, you’ll manage content across channels, build partnerships, and coordinate events while preserving youth voices in every initiative. This is a 0.8–1.0 FTE, two-year role with a Hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Experience creating and managing social media content across multiple channels.
• Strong copywriting, editing and content creation skills for diverse audiences.
• Knowledge of analytics to monitor performance and optimise engagement.
• Proven ability to build relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, including young people.
• Organised and detail-oriented with sensitivity to mental health topics.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of social media, digital marketing and campaigns to grow the #chatsafe brand.
• Create, manage and optimise content across social, websites, email and other channels, using analytics to maximise reach.
• Collaborate with researchers, communications professionals, young people and external stakeholders to develop content and maintain brand consistency.
• Build partnerships across suicide prevention, health and social media sectors to drive community engagement.
• Coordinate events, reporting and administrative activities supporting program delivery and objectives.
