Job summary

Sharp & Carter is seeking a commercially focused finance professional based in Chatswood, Sydney. You will join the commercial finance team and provide financial analysis to support business performance and decision‑making.

Responsibilities include monthly reporting, budgeting, forecasting, P&L and variance analysis, and partnering with key stakeholders. Hybrid work model and immediate start available.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in Commercial Analysis, FP&A, or management accounting.
• Strong experience across reporting, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.
• A commercial mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Confident communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive approach and the ability to work autonomously.
• Experience within a large or complex organisation will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and analysing monthly financial and management reports.
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Conducting P&L analysis, variance analysis and performance reporting.
• Providing meaningful financial insights and commentary to key stakeholders.
• Partnering with operational and commercial stakeholders across the business.
• Supporting financial modelling and analysis of business performance.
• Identifying trends, risks and opportunities and communicating key findings.
• Assisting with month-end activities and reporting requirements.
• Contributing to process improvement and reporting automation initiatives.
• Supporting ad hoc commercial analysis and finance projects.
