Hybrid Civil Works Supervisor – Road & Drainage Projects

Job summary

GHD is seeking a Works Supervisor to manage civil construction activities on a Main Roads WA project in Perth. This 6‑month fixed-term contract involves leading crews, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standards.

You will be a hands‑on leader with strong communication skills, able to keep multiple fronts moving in a dynamic project environment and promote a strong safety culture on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in civil construction environments.
• At least 2 years' experience in a supervisory/leadership role.
• Experience delivering roadworks, earthworks, drainage or pavement construction.
• Proven ability to supervise crews, subcontractors and mobile plant safely and effectively.
• Strong leadership and people management skills; able to coordinate multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate day-to-day site activities across civil construction works.
• Supervise construction crews, subcontractors and plant operators for safe, efficient delivery.
• Plan daily work activities; allocate resources and coordinate labour, equipment and materials.
• Work with engineering, safety and quality personnel to support project delivery.
• Monitor progress, workmanship, productivity, and site performance; review drawings and specs.
